These courses are each to be held as a one day event
​AS150 Preliminaries: Anglican Union for the Propagation of the Gospel
​This course is intended to provide the student with an understanding of the nature of ordained life as practiced in the Anglican Union for the Proclamation of the Gospel. It will carefully build an understanding of the sodality model and differentiate it from jurisdictional models of ecclesiastical polity. It will seek to draw a strong contrast between the self-centered approach of worldly professionalism and Christ-centered kenotic service. It will explain the roles and responsibilities of clergy operating in this organization. The course will also explain the demands of academic study relevant to the Anglican Studies program. It will teach standard academic practices consistent with graduate level work.
AS151 Practice of Liturgy
This course is designed to provide practical formation in the practice of liturgy at the parish level. It will concentrate on celebration of the Eucharist and Daily Offices, with an Anglican ethos. The course will center on a blend of Anglo-Catholic and Evangelical approaches using generally accepted norms within Anglican practice.
AS152 Shaping of Anglican Identity
This course is designed to provide an understanding of Anglican practice as it has historically emerged and where it is heading in the future. It will show how Anglican practice has integrated the historic Catholic faith from roots in the Eastern and Western Church with the Reformation to produce a reframed understanding of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. It will further provide an understanding of recent developments within the Anglican Communion world-wide. This information will be used to help understand emerging trends in the Church and gain insight into likely future developments for the Anglican Communion.
